  2. Pick up the phone and call that person now.
  3. Tell him or her in your own words something along these lines:
    "Hi! I was just thinking about you and wanted to tell you that I really appreciate your friendship. That's all."
  4. If appropriate, allow the conversation to flow, but stay with the purpose of your call and notice how you feel.
