Here's a little challenge for you to tackle.
Do it right now and feel the results.
- Think of someone whose friendship or family relationship you appreciate.
- Pick up the phone and call that person now.
- Tell him or her in your own words something along these lines:
"Hi! I was just thinking about you and wanted to tell you that I really appreciate your friendship. That's all."
- If appropriate, allow the conversation to flow, but stay with the purpose of your call and notice how you feel.
