Benefits Of The TM-Sidhi Programme
Transcendental MeditationTM in-residence weekend courses
I've been on several happy TM weekend residence courses that ran from a Friday evening to the Sunday afternoon. They used to be called 'deepening courses' as the purpose was to deepen one's experience of transcendental consciousness. And they defihnitely did that. After the course I felt very rejuvenated, calm, rounded and smooth.
The course includes extra sessions of meditation according to a structured programme led by a qualified TM teacher. The meditation is complemented by some light stretching postures, some easy breathing exercises and extra rest after meditation. Also included in the courses I attended were audio or video lectures by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
If you've learnt TM or intend doing so, I strongly recommend that you attend a
whenever you can.
World Peace Assemblies
I also attended some in-residence deepening courses specifically designed around the TM-Sidhi programme where we did the Yogic Flying technique together in a group.
Group practice of the TM-Sidhi programme is said to create increased coherence in collective consciousness, not only for the group but also for the environment as a whole.
World Peace Assemblies are part of the TM organization's programe to create word peace.
The Science of Creative Intelligence course
I was fortunate to be able to attend a 33-lecture video course by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on The Science of Creative Intelligence. In this course Maharishi explained in great depth and detail how Creative Intelligence functions through every fabric of life, including human beings and all of Nature.
The video course, adminsitered by a teacher of Transcendental MeditationTM, started with a meditation and ended with questions and answers and a thorough summary of the lecture.
Maharish gets to what is referred in the organization as "pure knowledge" - understanding of life and consciousness without all the trappings and airy-faerie kind of assumptions so often prevalent in these kinds of subjects.
He explains the mechanics of consciousness and mind functioning that are responsible for the way in which the mind experiences subtler levels of thought and leads itself towards transcendental consciousness.
If you have plans of learning Transcendental MeditationTM, or are already a TM practitioner, then I would recommend taking the
Science of Creative Intelligence
course for additional knowledge and understanding.
