CMR quickly brings new practitioner greater happiness
In case you have not seen this item, here is an e-mail I received recently from someone who had just learnt Conscious Mental Rest via the website.
"I am very much grateful for your CMR course, since it is very simple out of many meditation techniques with so many years of meditation. Actually, really speaking, I was not getting required calmness, tension-free mind by other meditation technique. Now only with the practice of one week of CMR, I am quite happy and I got more calmness rather than from 2 years of other meditation technique. Mr Gavin, I don't have any words to thank you for such a wonderful meditation technique. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I will not forget this simple natural meditation in my life, sir."
That's so nice to hear -- someone who not only was prepared to try Conscious Mental Rest, but who experienced more happiness in his first week, and who also took the time to write down his experience and send it to me. Thank you.
Happiness Hub E-zine is going more 'social'
It's been about six months since this e-zine was last issued. I apologise. There are several reasons for this. Suffice it to say that finding a chunk of available 'inspired' time has been one of them.
Besides that, the Internet has been evolving at a rapid pace these past few years and I'm not convinced that e-mail is still the most effective way to reach people. In the last few issues of Happiness Hub less than 25% of the subscribers actually opened the Happiness Hub e-mail.
One reason for this might be that many people subscribed either to get access to the freebies offered, or to learn Conscious Mental Rest, and not to read e-mails in the months ahead. Or, like me, they're too busy to open non-critical e-mails right now and just don't get around to catching up later with all their unopened e-mails. Or they simply found the e-zine too boring. :-)
Online social media like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and others offer a useful and popular interactive situation, where it is easy for people to respond, comment and interact with others with whom they are connected. I feel Happiness Hub needs to recognize these shifts in online systems and behaviour.
So, here is what has happened:
- The course in Conscious Mental Rest can now be taken without having to sign up for the Happiness Hub e-zine.
- This e-mail version of Happiness Hub will continue, but it will probably be sent out only occasionally, and will be supported by news and posts via social media.
- The Happiness Hub blog at Posterous.com, which has mainly been used as a repository for various slide-shows, videos, etc., will now also incoporate news and articles that would in the past have gone into this e-mail e-zine.
- A Facebook page has been created for HappinessHub, and the Twitter account for HappinessHub will continue.
You now have additional options for staying in touch
There's no need to choose all of them. Simply choose the one or two that will suit you best. These are all in adition to this e-mailed e-zine whose regularity and frequency might well be somewhat erratic in the months ahead.

I hope to see you at one of the above social sites soon!
